2024 was a massive year for TheSmile (Thom Yorke, Tom Skinner, Jonny Greenwood) with two critically acclaimed albums released in those 12 months and appearing on Best of Year lists for Billboard, Pitchfork, The Independent, Treblezine and many more. This latest offering brings together band favorite James Holden and frequent collaborator Robert Stillman to provide their epic takes on CUTOUTS singles. Holden’s remix of ‘Don’t Get Me Started’ brings the original into a cosmic realm of looping analogue and rhythmic complexity, whilst the AA side ‘Instant Psalm’ from Stillman is a sonically transportive adventure across many forms.
