Country Harvest Records raises a toast to the distinctive sound of Cal Smith with the reissue of "The Lord Knows I'm Drinking." A honky-tonk maestro, Smith's career flourished during the 1970s, and this album quickly became a cornerstone of his discography. The title track, a witty and irreverent take on personal vices, exemplifies Smith's ability to infuse humor into his traditional country stylings. With this reissue, Country Harvest Records' remastering captures the spirited essence of Smith's music, ensuring that the rollicking charm of "The Lord Knows I'm Drinking" remains as infectious as ever.
