To stop what is moving away. Sometimes delicately, sometimes powerfully, the piano spins memories and dreams. A superb piano trio by a Hungarian virtuoso. Lakatos's piano is imbued with love. But it is not drowned in sentimentalism, and sometimes it conveys a strong will or a rational abandonment. This ambitious work was recorded in Hungary with Gregory Hutchinson on drums. Each note of the grainy piano evokes a shadowy, monochromatic, pale brown.* Robert Lakatos: piano* Christian Lakatos: bass* Gregory Hutchinson: drums
