Culled from a set of live performances recorded in 1962, the Paris Concert finds the tenor virtuoso stretching out and flashing his improvisational prowess on a 25+ minute version of "Mr. P.C." buoyed by McCoy Tyner (piano), Jimmy Garrison (double bass), and Elvin Jones (drums). This set is quintessential Coltrane and offers a satisfying snapshot of genius at work he also tackles "The Inch Worm" & "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye" that astute listeners will recognize from his studio recordings.
Tracks: 1.1 Mr. P.C. 1.2 The Inch Worm 1.3 Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye
