(2-CD Set) The unaffected singing style and blues-influenced songs often tinged with gallows humor made Hank Williams one of the most significant of the many precursors of the Rock & Roll idiom. His lyrical vision and musical perspective also owed much to the roots established by Jimmie Rodgers and the Carter Family, and his unique blend of despair and resilience revolutionized postwar country music. This collection includes "Move It On Over," "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry," "I'll Never Get Out Of This World Alive," and "Your Cheatin' Heart."
