Dasha Beets brings back the music where it should be. She handpicks the most captivating songs in the history of jazz and bundles them into a set that covers all from profound swing to the crystal-clear blend of heavenly sounds. The lyrics handle deep emotions and intriguing schemes and settings, while Dasha delivers her own message, one of courage and consolation. Her singing and performances can be found as complete as can be, both abstract and concrete, sweet and fierce, intimate and open, calm and exciting. The music from the American songbook comes back to life and becomes more than ever eloquent and touching. Dasha's strong romanticism is combined with a powerful energy, based on a life that has known many ups and downs, through which music has been the ever-present lead, just like the melodies on this album full of highlights.
